Raising Kids to Extraordinary Faith is my new book just released before Christmas. It targets a subject very close to my heart, helping children become independent followers of Jesus. From ways to help a child recognize Jesus' call in his or her life to finding a place in the community of faith, the book asks parents and ministry workers to partner in this most arduous responsibity. In March, there will be a 13 week study guide plan. Click on the book and check out the Table of Contents, a reading sample, and even an interview with me.

Special Needs Conference
The Northwest Illinois District (Nazarene) is having its first-ever conference for parents and ministry workers who reach out to families with children who have special needs. I will be there March 28 at the New Hope Church in Princeton, Illinois to make two presentations. The increase in special needs statistics in public education is alread impacting our churches. I hope others will find similar ways to equip families and ministry workers to meet critical needs in this growing population. Spread the word!

Listen Live!
I've been doing radio interviews in January to promote Raising Kids to Extraordinary Faith. Monday, Febrary 2, at 12:15, CST, I will be on air for the "Along the Way" radio program broadcast in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the Dakotas. It is a call-in program heard on their flagship station KCIS 900 AM in the Twin Cities. Consider joining me by listening live online or contact someone you know in that area. I will keep information on my website, www.debbiegoodwin.net about archived interviews. Let me know if you catch one of them.

Let me hear from you. With so many avenues for instant communication, it should be easier to connect. Share a parenting story. Tell me about your challenges with a child with special needs. Ask me about how to involve children in drama. Or just tell me about what you are learning about following Jesus. Use my e-mail and send me a note. We might as well use technology to make the world smaller and more personal.
Thanks for sharing this time with me.
Debbie
