Open the Door to Advent

Advent is an invitation to understand at a deeper level what it means that Jesus came to us, came to our context. He did not come to understand us better. He came to help us understand the meaning of his God-in-fleshness so that we could live it, too. This poem is my favorite invitation to Advent.
